Composition

OPA films are made from oriented polyamide (nylon) and offer excellent mechanical properties along with gas barrier capabilities.

Characteristics

High Strength

Known for its toughness and resistance to punctures and tears.

Good Gas Barrier

Provides a barrier to oxygen and other gases, though not as effective as EVOH.

Applications

  • Packaging for food products, especially those requiring a high barrier to both moisture and oxygen.
  • Packaging for pharmaceuticals and electronics that need protection from environmental factors.
